Merry Christmas! I hope you take this holiday season to spend time with your family and friends and reflect on all that God has given you this year. Especially the most amazing gift of his son, our savior Jesus Christ.

The Stickland’s will be spending time with friends and family over the next few days. We look forward to the break and time of relaxation with each other. Andie and Carlie have been eyeing their presents under the tree for over a week now in anticipation. They can hardly stand it!

Our nation and state have stood strong this year through a struggling economy and uncertainty. It is a year like this that makes you proud to be an American, and especially a Texan. I’ve been honored to see my friends and family come together and witness a true sense of community throughout the HEB area.

As we look back on the year let’s remind ourselves of what’s really important, faith, family, and freedom to worship as we please.

These are the values that motivated me to consider running for State Representative when leaders in our community first approached me. It’s been a great year and I look forward to 2012. We have many challenges in front of us. As Texans we must stand strong for the values that make our state great. Please pray for me and my family as we do just that.
