Friends, Politicians don’t often practice what they preach. Almost all Republicans campaign as conservatives, but precious few govern as one. My staff and I worked hard this session to carefully look at each bill amendment that came to the House floor. Late nights and working weekends were required, but as your State Representative, that’s my job. In the end the bills and amendments would number in the many thousands, but due diligence paid off.

I’m proud to share that two of the most respected conservative watchdogs, Empower Texans and Texas Eagle Forum, have BOTH awarded me a perfect 100 on their scorecards. What’s more, Professor Mark Jones of Rice University used his widely respected methodology to rate our record as the most conservative of the 83rd Session.

While the staff and I put a lot of hours in, I have you, the voters, to thank the most. Not a day went by when our office didn’t have more than a couple HEB constituents come by. Whether close friends or concerned citizens, each and every visitor had issues they wanted me to be aware of, and for that I’m thankful. Together we have a record to be proud of, and I’m looking forward to sharing that record with the voters of House District 92.
