(Bedford) – Yesterday Jonathan Stickland filed with the Tarrant County Republican Party for a place on the ballot for State House District 92.

Stickland stated after filing “Since announcing my campaign I’ve talked with GOP leaders, tea party activists, business owners, and just every day voters. All of these residents of HD 92 have the same concerns. They are concerned with the direction our state is headed, they are concerned about job creation, they are concerned with the size of government. These are all issues I plan to tackle as State Representative. I am humbled and honored to seek the Republican nomination for House District 92.”

Julie McCarty, president of the NE Tarrant Tea Party endorsed Stickland’s candidacy by stating “Jonathan Stickland is a public servant, not a politician. He has the backbone to stand up against the established special interests in Austin and champion limited government. His experience as a small business owner will be invaluable in maintaining a pro-business environment in Texas.”

Bedford businessman and local church leader Doug Miller also endorsed Stickland by saying “As someone who has attended church with Jonathan for years I can say without a doubt that he will stand up for the right thing regardless of the political consequences. He is a man of character, and a solid conservative Republican. I wholeheartedly endorse his candidacy for State Representative.”

District 92 GOP precinct chair Darl Easton said “Jonathan will provide conservative solutions that will lead to job creation, limited government, and quality education. He brings a fresh perspective and an energy that is lacking in HD 92. Jonathan will reflect the conservative values of the HEB voters.”

Jonathan Stickland has been married for 6 years to his wife Krissy and has two children Andie and Carlie. More information regarding Stickland’s candidacy can be found at
